...A Tale As Old As Time, There Was Nothing. Just Blackness. Pure Emptiness, A Darkness Complete.
Enter Death, Enter Dream.
Brother And Sister.
They Walked The Empty Together, Looking For Something More.
Alone.
"What-- This air. This stench," Death said.
"Familiar, or at least it should be to you, Sister," replied Dream.
"There has to be more, though-- Are we missing something?" Death said confused, as she wondered how much longer they would have to travel through The Empty.
"Look, over there," Dream said, pointing towards a location near them.
"Welcome To Pangea, Friends," a mysterious figure appeared to them and with a raspy voice, welcomed them with open arms.
"And who might you be, stranger?" Asked Dream.
"The Name Is Lucifer Morningstar."
"You-- I am familiar with that name. You're the Lightbringer?"
"And So Much More."

...God Created The World Out Of Nothing. But Unbeknownst To It, Two Individuals Roamed The Empty Already.
Siblings Looking For A Sense Of Purpose, A Need To Be.
So God Gave Them A Reason-- A Test.
God Banned Its Favorite Warrior From Heaven And Cast Him Out, Where He Would Fall Down Upon The Land And Run Into The Siblings.
Lucifer, Once An Angel, Now Fallen, Had Nothing But Rage And A Thirst For Revenge.
Upon Meeting The Siblings, Lucifer Decided To Test Them.
So He Unleashed The Serpent, A Beast Ripped Right From His Own Body, As Once Were His Wings, And Unleashed It To The World.
The Serpent Had Once Lived Inside Lucifer's Mouth, Treacherous, Lying, Conniving And Full Of Trickery, Now Was Set Free Upon The Empty, Where It Would Poison Everything It Touched.
But The Siblings Knew Better. The Siblings Were Unstoppable Together.
So Lucifer Had To Tear Them Apart.
Separate Them.
Individually.

"Why, the same way you kill anything intangible. With magic," she replied.
"Tell me sister, do I have a name?"
"Why would you need one?"
"Because I cannot remember it."
"You are magnificent, and that is all you need to know, dear brother."

But the day would arrive when the Monster would be set free-- when he would search the worlds and find each god. When he would rip into them through their spleen and tear out each piece of his sister to make her whole once again.
This day came and the Monster was able to put his sister back together.
However, what the Monster did not know was that each piece of her sister was corrupted. Tainted. Full of sin. Putrid in the eyes of the Monster.
So the Monster searched for a cure. Something to help his Sister become whole again. He needed the Green Key of Life; an artifact forged by the same gods eons ago, the same key that was used to lock the Monster away. The same key that was once, in another universe, in the shape of a snake--
Once cut from the very mouth of one notorious Lucifer Morningstar.
The Monster, unaware, would soon receive a visit from him.
A visit sure to tip the scales of Time.
Forever.
