I was blind, but now I could see. See perhaps a bit too late. It was not the fact that this Chapter was hard to read, but the fact that there was already involvement with a previous one that it clouded the vision.
Clouded it from seeing what was already right in front of us.
I met this Chapter whilst on a relationship with another one, and even though she was in the background, I literally lost track of what was going on with her: she was attracted to me.
During all that time she would be funny and crack jokes whenever I was around, but to me, she was just being her normal self.
Days turned into months and months into years; I broke up with Lil' Devil and after she had been gone for a while, I stumbled upon this Chapter, one who would open my eyes as to how blind I had been.
Fast forward and it is raining outside, we are sitting inside her car, she and I are talking, learning more about each other. All I can hear in the inside of my head is to give her what she wants, but I know that it is wrong.
She got engaged, she was marrying someone else. Again, my timing had been off, like the good ol' Parker Luck and this Chapter turned into another one that disappeared and was never to be seen or heard from again.
The only connection I had to her was through a friend at work, but lo and behold, he also disappeared and any ties to this Chapter were forever lost.
All that would be left to remember was the words I told her in that cold rainy night.
I wasn't the man for her. She did not want me. She couldn't.
Nothing good would have come from that.
And it never did.
