"These Wayward Sons"
Once upon a time, a boy named Theo made a deal with God. This deal would give him unlimited power over all of the land, but it would also give him immense power over his siblings. What God did not know was that Theo would trick him, for he was very good at lying. This boy had been gifted with his ability to lie since the very early beginnings of his life. He was so good that he recognized this ability allowed him to manipulate people; but the only people he could use it on was his siblings at the time. So Theo met with God and realized this was the moment when he could trick him, and lock him up forever--which then would allow him to steal his power and take over as a new god.
So Theo went ahead and tricked God, locked him up tight, and threw away the key. But what Theo did not know was that God was a very patient being, and that he would wait him out, however long, to exact his revenge. For this god was an unforgiving god, and a very vengeful one.
So time passed and God was ready to break out of his cage. Unbeknownst to God, a lot of time had passed and Theo was no longer a child, but a grown man. And a man with so much power that it had broke him. Thrown him into selfishness and foolish mistakes--rendering him weak and broken.
God found this as a golden opportunity--to get back what was his. And to teach Theo a lesson.
So God met up with Theo's doctor, and after finding out everything Theo had done, he went for the jugular! He went straight for Theo's favorite sibling.
Theo did not know of God's plan and ignored it, for he was weak and broken and did not care for anything at the moment. He wallowed in self-pity as any broken man would and let God take over the reigns.
But there came the day when the other siblings found out what was going on and war broke out once more.
Some ran, some hid, and some started choosing sides--for there was no other choice but to join and fight.
God already had seen the siblings do this countless of times, so much that he expected it to happen. He wanted it. This way, he would know who he could use--the same way he was starting to use Theo and his favorite sibling: Roman.
Thing is, for every martyr, for every victim, there is always a hidden swan song. A deus ex machina if you will.
But these Wayward Sons always ignored it. Too busy with their own mess to try and listen to this hidden voice of reason.

But these Wayward Sons always ignored it. Too busy with their own mess to try and listen to this hidden voice of reason.

Thing is, not everything turns out as you expect. At least, it didn't for God.
You see, what God did not know was that Theo had a hidden card in his deck. It was a hail mary, but Theo knew that it held power unlike anything before. And if the day came when he finally broke, that it would be the only thing to bring him back.
But everything comes at a price.
For Theo had already tried to fight God and lost, and in the midst of battle, lost his siblings' trust.
So God kept taking down Theo's siblings one by one, chasing them down like prey and using them until they had no more strength to give.
Theo's sister watched all this unfold--all the pain, the suffering, it wasn't news to her. She knew it all too well, for she had also seen wars break out over and over again.
Sister knew she had to intervene yet again. But she had to do something different this time, for Theo's pride would be too much of a liability--she knew he would jump at the chance of getting back at God if the opportunity presented itself.
So Sister kept Theo in the dark--something that would shatter their trust in each other, but something needed nevertheless.
So Sister went after God, presented herself as a gift, and God took her in, knowing she would kneel before him and praise him.
But Sister didn't do this out of the kindness of her heart--no. She did this to end the wars once and for all, and she did this selfishly.
Sister used the doctor and Roman as scapegoats--as tools to get into God's chambers and kill him in his sleep.
Not every sibling wanted part of this "silent war," so some run once more, and some hid as well.
Theo was alone for what seemed to be a long time since last time he was left in isolation.
But once again, things aren't always as they seem...
...Sister knew that even God had a weakness, for God had borrowed time to meet up with a Warrior Queen and had fallen for this Warrior Queen in the same way that Theo had all those years ago.
God was no longer interested in Sister, for God had found someone else--someone God saw as a matching tour de force to his power.
Someone that could, if she wanted, erase him permanently.
But this Warrior Queen would never do that. She had the deep belief that if one was to die off, so would the whole.
For this story might sound like it's about individual Wayward Sons, but dear reader, all these are part of a whole.
And the Warrior Queen loves the whole as one.
This idea never fit in God's mind, for this God was a jealous God, an unjust God-- a vengeful God.
So Sister gave God Theo's hidden card: his hail mary.
And God being God, he was too busy enjoying having power over the doctor and Roman, that he did ignored the card trick.
And the card flew straight into his jugular.
Sister stood there, facing him, as God's blood spilled over the labyrinth.
And as the other siblings reunited to see the God fall once more, everyone realized what the hidden card was.
The Queen of Hearts.
You see, in the end, every story, legend, myth--every good tale of the century always has a hidden gem.
A hail mary.
A swan song.
A Warrior Queen.
And Sister knew at that moment, that no matter the wars, the pain, the sorrow...
...the Wayward Sons would always have the memory of the Warrior Queen.
And nothing could ever come between the love she gave.
Not even God.
