Madness, chaos, disorder.
This was all the god Set knew, since the very instant he began to exist.
He followed through the land of Egypt searching for power, searching for ways to set upon the world utter destruction and pain.
Set was a motherfucker of a beastly god--all rage and pain.
Set was molded into existence for one purpose only--
To test the other gods.
And Set looked forward to each encounter.
Each test.

The first god Set tested was Osiris--
He had come across this godly pharaoh king and realized the power he held-- the way he made his followers bend to his every will.
Set wanted this-- no, he craved it.
He adored power like this.
And he would do anything to get his hands on it.
But he had to plan it well, for there was always someone watching after Osiris.
His wife Isis.

Set was an angry god, but he was also a stubborn god.
He would not rest until he got absolute power.
So Set went after Osiris, and succeeding, took him from the playing field, and now that it was open to a new ruler, Set would be ready to jump in.
But Time never plays by the rules.
Time is a fickle thing.

After Set's betrayal to Osiris, and with his body now in pieces down the river Nile,
his widow Isis took action.
She searched everywhere for his body, and after days and nights of searching was able to bring Osiris back to life.
Isis was a healer--
Always a healer.
It is what freed her.

It was during the time of Osiris' disappearance, however, that Set met another god--
Horus the Elder.
Set and Horus would from that moment on be destined to fight forever.
Horus the Elder would be the rightful king to the throne, but Set would rather die Time and Time again than to see his brother surpass him.

And Set tried everything--
Set did anything in his power to stop Horus, but it never worked.
Horus would always be one step ahead of him.
So Set decided to make a deal.
He visited the Netherworld and paid a visit to Anubis.
He enlisted his help.
But nothing good would come out of this.

Set wanted Horus out of the playing field for good, but Anubis knew that in order to do anything for his brother, Set would have to be tested himself.
And his heart would be weighed.
The only problem was, at this time,
Set's heart was corrupted.
It was empty.
Anubis had nothing to weight against the feather of Ma'at.
This made Set very angry,
and so he promised Anubis he would pay for his judgement, or lack-there-of, soon.

So Set decided to deal with Horus on his own.
And another kind of judgement came along this time.
Set would not be free.
After yet another defeat at the hands of Horus, Set was put on trial,
and with Ra watching over the spectacle,
Set was sentenced to slumber.
A sarcophagus was made and Set was forced to stay caged.
For a long time.
Until one day, Time got bored, and decided to shake things up.
