Long ago, the goddess Isis was given her hand in marriage to another god-- Osiris. She was to be faithful to him for eternity, and was to follow him everywhere he went.
Osiris was a high king and ruled all over the land, but Isis was never too fond of the arrangement that had been chosen for her.
Isis always wanted to live her life the way she wanted to-- free.
But things were never easy, no, Time always got to you, no matter if you were mortal or god. Human or otherwise.
So one day, Time came knocking on Isis' temple-- a vision came upon her!
A vision of a future murder that would occur, and the victim? Osiris.
Isis was so shaken by this vision, she tried to do anything to stop it from becoming true, but to no avail, could not save her husband Osiris.

Osiris then, tricked by the god Set, was caged in a sarcophagus and taken away from his kingdom.
His sarcophagus, holding him prisoner, was tossed into the river Nile and as the current dragged him around, turned his body apart.
Pieces of it were scattered, and Osiris was spread, dead and his soul stuck in limbo until a proper burial and mummification could be done.
Isis, carefully searched for her husband's body and was able to reconstruct it.
Isis was a very powerful goddess and magician.
Despite previous adultery committed by her late husband Osiris, Isis would do anything in her power to defy Set, and now more so after the death of Osiris.
From Osiris' reconstruction, Isis bore him a son-- Horus The Child.
But Time would come once again to collect the blood tears from the gods; Time saw Horus The Child grow into Horus The Elder and engage in a never-ending battle against Set, and as Isis stood firmly, watching it all unfold as well, she knew there would come a time when she would have to intervene.
Isis would need to enter the catacombs and travel further down to encounter the King of the Netherworld-- Anubis. There, she would ask him for a favor, a favor that Anubis would collect in Time.
And so, days turned to night, and night turned into days, and Anubis came knocking at Isis' chambers, ready to fulfill what was long ago professed.
Anubis would hunt down Set, and bare upon him a mark--
A mark that would render him weaker, and from that, Horus would finally beat his sibling, and the skies would thunder while the other gods joined in observing the final war.
But what exactly do you think Isis gave Anubis in exchange for this favor?
What would she be willing to sacrifice?
To lose?
Forever?
