"Jump!"
I know, it sounds crazy,
trust me, that vision ain't hazy, much more like it was yesterday,
such a small boy,
but this wasn't child's play.
First time I tried to kill myself,
it wasn't really trying, and it wasn't to kill myself either.
I was a small boy, yes,
with enough to play with-- toys!
But I had heard something in the window,
I had to go see,
was it a voice?
One like mine?
Oh, set me free!
Stand up on that ledge--
Window!
What is it you said?
"Que lindo."
So it became my recurring dream,
one to jump,
to feel the sun on my cheek,
oh yellow sun,
you are so obscene.
You false yellow,
are you a silly fellow?
I rather play with Pharaoh.
Green for land,
kiss that grass,
one that was once covered in blood,
our little turtle who's shell cracked-- Thud!
Jumped from that third floor,
hit the grass-- Crack!
Could that have been me?
Hunchback!

Hunchback!
That's what the kids called me at school,
never stood up straight,
what a tool!
So I walked like a turtle,
for that was me,
not as cool as Donatello,
and only when I closed my eyes,
only then I felt free.
The recurring dream welcoming me.

Flying among the clouds, after that jump,
free at last,
not stuck in crowds.
Was never a team player,
how could I be,
I just wanted to fly,
to touch that ozone layer.
For the butterflies to follow,
surround me and then I wouldn't feel so hollow.

But then came the Fall,
from grace to stone,
hit the ground below me,
we entered a brawl.
Pardon the interruption,
one could not control all,
there had to be a different mission.
And as there came more times of ending it,
figuring a way to merge them,
more Falls occurred,
don't you see,
one more begets another war.

So I got sick of playing along,
I took to the skies,
where I could fly alone.
And below me that grass remained,
full house memories,
and outside the patio,
power self-contained.
A swing with an empty seat,
an elevator beside me,
my childhood home,
so neat.

And I was fine, really,
flying amongst the clouds,
until you came and bothered me,
you aberration,
disgusting fiend,
I told you unclean creature,
let me be.
Talks of nonsense and other incredible stories,
I partake not in their misguided glories.

But you want to join me,
then grab my hand, lass
let me show you,
why I am the Master of my Class.
