People say every day you wake up, it is a battle. For some, there is a kind of resolution at the end of the day, for others, it is just the beginning.
What does it feel for you?
Do you dance amidst the fire and brimstone, or do you let it burn and turn you to ash?
We can look at addictions and use this metaphor. We can look at a form of employment and dissect the many battles within. We can discuss being a parent and what it takes to win or lose the daily struggle. We can look at warfare over centuries of historical events and discuss chaos.
Each individual deals with chaos in their lives differently; I would like, however, to divide these individuals into two simple, yet complete opposite types. On one corner we have the Controlled and in the other, the Controller.
The Controlled lets chaos take over, completely annihilating any chance of fighting back.
The Controller grabs a hold of chaos and uses it completely.
One indulges, the other repels.
One inhales, the other chokes.
You can choose to let it control you, or you can grab the bull by the horns and show it who is pulling the strings.
"The battlefield is a scene of constant chaos. The winner will be the one who controls that chaos, both his own and the enemies." - Napoleon Bonaparte.
